• Prediction Data: Your predictions, picks, group memberships, tournament participation, and leaderboard standings
• Social Features: Group memberships, reactions to predictions, and shared content within groups
• Device Information: Device type, OS version, and app version for support and notification delivery
• Usage Data: How you interact with the App, points earned, and feature usage to improve our services

In accordance with Apple's App Store requirements, we provide the following detailed breakdown of what data we collect, how we use it, and whether it's linked to your identity:

Contact Information

• Email Address: Used exclusively for app functionality (authentication, login, account recovery). Linked to your identity. Not used for tracking or advertising.

User Content

• Predictions & Picks: Includes predictions you create, options you define, and picks you make within groups. Used for app functionality (storing and displaying your predictions, calculating scores, maintaining leaderboards). Linked to your identity. Not used for tracking or advertising.
• Reactions: Emoji reactions you add to predictions. Used for app functionality (social engagement within groups). Linked to your identity. Not used for tracking or advertising.

Identifiers

• User ID: Unique identifier (Supabase UUID) used exclusively for app functionality (authentication, data retrieval, linking your predictions and picks to your account). Linked to your identity. Not used for tracking or advertising.
• Device ID: Push notification token used exclusively for delivering notifications and reminders. Linked to your identity. Not used for tracking or advertising.

Usage Data

• Product Interaction: Includes points earned, predictions made, groups joined, and features used. Used for app functionality (calculating leaderboards, tracking participation). Linked to your identity. Not used for tracking or advertising.

Important Note on "Tracking": We do NOT use any of the above data for "tracking" as defined by Apple. This means we do not link your data with third-party data for targeted advertising, share data with data brokers, or track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes. All data is used exclusively within Called It for app functionality.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively for the following purposes:

App Functionality

• Authenticate your account and manage login sessions
• Store and display your predictions and picks
• Calculate points and maintain leaderboards
• Enable group features and social interactions
• Manage tournament phases and standings
• Deliver push notifications and reminders (if enabled)
• Respond to your support requests
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

Product Personalization

• Display your name and avatar to group members
• Show your leaderboard position within groups
• Surface relevant predictions and groups

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal data to third parties
• Use your data for advertising purposes
• Share your data with data brokers
• Track you across other apps or websites
• Send you marketing emails or promotional messages

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Secure authentication protocols
• Row-level security policies
• Access controls and monitoring

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell your personal data. We do NOT share your data with advertising networks, data brokers, or marketing platforms. We may share data only in these strictly limited cases:

• Within Groups: Your predictions, picks, and reactions are visible to other members of groups you join. Your display name and avatar are shown on leaderboards.
• Essential Service Providers: We share the minimum necessary data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the App (database hosting and authentication). These partners are contractually obligated to protect your data.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

We do NOT share your data with:

• Advertising networks or marketing platforms
• Data brokers or analytics companies
• Third parties for their own marketing purposes
• Any party for cross-app or cross-website tracking

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data
• Opt-out of notifications
• Withdraw consent at any time

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

The App uses minimal cookies and similar technologies solely for app functionality:

• Authentication Tokens: To keep you logged in securely
• Session Management: To maintain your app session and preferences

We do NOT use:

• Advertising cookies or tracking pixels
• Cross-app or cross-website tracking technologies
• Third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.)

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services for essential functionality such as authentication, data storage, and push notifications. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We only share the minimum data necessary for these services to function.

10. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it by law or to resolve disputes.

Backup copies may persist in our systems for up to an additional 90 days before permanent deletion.

11. International Users

If you're accessing the App from outside the European Economic Area (EEA), please note that your data may be transferred to and processed in regions with different data protection laws. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

13. App Store Privacy Declarations

In compliance with Apple App Store requirements, we declare the following about our data practices:

Data Types Collected (5 types):

• Email Address — for authentication and account management
• User Content — predictions, picks, and reactions you create
• User ID — technical identifier for your account
• Device ID — for push notification delivery
• Product Interaction — points, predictions made, app usage

Data Linking:

All collected data is linked to your identity (your user account). This allows us to provide personalized features like group memberships, leaderboards, and synced progress across devices.

Tracking:

We do NOT track you. None of your data is used for tracking purposes as defined by Apple. We do not link your data with third-party data for advertising, share data with data brokers, or track you across other apps or websites.

Third-Party Access:

Your data is only shared with essential service providers who are contractually obligated to protect it and use it solely for providing their services (authentication and database hosting).
